Peter is a Science graduate and Chartered Engineer. He has been involved in
the web since its inception and for the last 14 years has utilised internet
marketing. He has a Post Graduate
qualification in Computing for Commerce and Industry and Web Application Development.
His PhD from the University of Sheffield included original research
using back propagation neural networks, genetic algorithms and other artificial
intelligence (AI) techniques to solve problems that involved considerable uncertainty
and complexity. The most advanced search engines are using
neural networks and AI to provide more relevant search results. Peter has particular
expertise in online marketing to the manufacturing, construction, trading,
hotel & leisure, chemical, retail, legal and accounting sectors.
Peter is a Chartered Engineer and an experienced marketer and
is a Chartered
Marketer and Fellow of the Chartered
Institute of Marketing,
the world's largest and best known marketing organisation, and is a Fellow
of the Chartered Management Institute.
Clients benefit from this conventional marketing
on the one hand and knowledge of computing technology and the search space
on the other. There

Following graduation in Southampton Geraint worked in a management capacity
in the games industry before joining the family firm at their Sheffield
office 14 years ago, specialising in online development and marketing. He took
time out in 2003 to study for an Master of Science degree at Sheffield University
and was awarded a distinction for his degree and dissertation, which is available

It used statistical analysis techniques to evaluate search engine optimisation
methods.
Geraint has been involved in search engine marketing for several years and
now oversees the setting up and monitoring of all client campaigns. Although
he
concentrates on the hands-on mechanics of the campaigns, clients are very appreciative
of his unique copywriting skills and often call upon him to re-write their
online content to be more appealing, user friendly and communicative. He also
writes
web 2.0 social media content for clients.
Geraint qualified as an AdWords Professional and a Google
Analytics Qualified Individual. He also holds a Certification in Web
Applications Development.
The Team
The rest of the team have a blend of skills generally with a mathematical bias and/or ad-copywriting skills which are essential in paid search marketing (PPC) but also involve expertise in web development, client-side technologies such as JavaScript, link building, accessibility and usability testing and linguistics as well as the more conventional search optimisation methods.
In addition to running the campaigns, the team are responsible for providing
daily reports on the performance of all the campaigns and in particular bringing
to the notice of the Campaign Director and Project Director any unusual patterns
of search behaviour and performance. They are also responsible for monitoring
the performance
of
our clients'
competitors.
